Injectables
The definition of fika is the essence of this clinic; in its name, its identity and its approach.
fika means taking time to do something for yourself, to relax and rejuvenate, to slow down and take your time.
Self care means many things, but at the core of it is you. It’s not about changing yourself, but celebrating yourself. Self care means feeling your best on the inside and out, and doing something that helps you to feel well, and to feel happy.
Treatments
Cosmetic
So you’re thinking about trying cosmetic injectables… or maybe you’re already experienced in injectables but want to find your new injector… Well, we’re here to break the stigma that injectables are scary or “fake” because they don’t have to be!
Whether you’re in your 20s or your 70s, cosmetic injectables are an effective and affordable treatment to help combat those unwanted signs of ageing or for anyone just wanting a refreshed & rejuvenated look. At Fika Clinic we are passionate about helping our clients look and feel their best, but still feeling like themselves.
Not sure what treatment is for you? All cosmetic injectable treatments include an in-depth consultation with one of our highly trained and experienced nurse injectors.
Anti-Wrinkle
Started noticing the dreaded “eleven’s”? Smile lines got you feeling down? Anti-wrinkle injections a.k.a “tox” is quick and easy with minimal downtime. Tiny doses of a prescription medication is injected into specific muscles, causing them to relax temporarily to prevent the skin from wrinkling. This results in less visible lines, smoother-looking skin and prevents deeper lines from forming.
Common treatment areas include frown lines, forehead lines, crows feet, gummy smile, brow lift and chin dimpling. Anti-wrinkle injection can also be used to alleviate teeth grinding and jaw clenching. Unsure of where and what you’re wanting treated?
We suggest you book in for a Full Facial Assessment - this is when one of our highly experienced nurses will assess your face, listen to your loves and concerns and come up with a treatment plan that you feel comfortable with and in control of. It is never an obligation to be injected, you are more than welcome to come to a facial assessment (or any treatment for that matter) and decide that you do not wish to be treated, this is all about YOU.
Lip
Whether it’s shape, volume, definition or symmetry you’re after, lip fillers can enhance your natural lips by adding a little somethin’ somethin’ in all the right places.
Lip filler is an injectable gel made from a sugar-based substance that is produced naturally within your body. When we inject this gel into your lips, your skin integrates with it and eventually, the filler just feels like part of your natural lips - neat!
We know each set of lips is unique, so we work with you to select a product and technique that helps achieve your lip goals. Lip fillers can create fuller lips, better lip hydration, reduce lip wrinkles or “smoker’s lines”, create more youthful lips, reduce asymmetries and enhance the definition to lip borders and cupid’s bow.
At Fika we are all about keeping your face looking natural; trust us, “duck lips” or something disproportionate to your face is not the desired outcome. Sounds painful?! Don’t worry - we offer either a dental block or numbing cream to keep you comfy.
Facial
Did you know that as we age we lose fat from our faces? We also have worse skin quality and our bones start to deteriorate. Devastating, right?! Facial Fillers aren’t designed to give us puffy, chubby faces; they’re designed to replace the vital structures that are diminishing as a normal part of the ageing process!
Unfortunately, the face is often the first place to show those pesky signs of ageing such as sunken eyes, sagging cheeks, jowls and a lack of jaw definition. Facial fillers are a non-surgical option to reshape areas such as the chin, jawline, cheeks, nasolabial folds, eyes and so much more. You’d be surprised with all the places we can pop some filler and revitalise your face.
Facial fillers are a natural, biodegradable, injectable gel made from hyaluronic acid. They provide structure, volume and support to the face to create a fresher, more youthful appearance. Fillers can help create a “lifted” appearance to the face, can enhance facial shape and can help smooth sunken areas. If you’re leaning toward fillers but you’re a little nervous, maybe unsure of what your final outcome will be, we always suggest a Full Facial Assessment - this is when one of our highly experienced nurses will assess your face and help you decide which options you prefer.
Filler
Feeling like something isn’t looking quite right?
We know that after time or numerous treatments sometimes our fillers can lose their perfect shape or not look exactly how we want them to.
Here’s the good part; we can often correct previous work by dissolving, re-assessing and re-treating the area.
If you’re not sure if your fillers need some TLC, book in for a complimentary consultation with one of our highly experienced nurses and we can make a treatment plan that suits you.
PRP
This natural treatment involves using your own blood products to thicken and firm skin, creating a smoother, brighter, less wrinkled appearance - sounds gross, but it’s like magic!
Every step, including taking your blood, spinning it in to extract the plasma and injecting it back into your skin is all done in-clinic in the one session. Injecting your own plasma back into your skin stimulates collagen and elastin production to improve skin pretty much anywhere!
Common treatment areas include eyes, neck, full face and hands. PRP can also be used to treat scarring and hair thinning.
Think PRP could be for you? Book in for a complimentary consultation with one of our highly experienced nurses.
Hyper-what-now? Hyperhidrosis is the fancy terminology for “excessive sweating”.
We know that hot summers, light grey tees and social events can be somewhat stressful when you’re prone to sweating, so we’re here to share the amazing news that anti-wrinkle injections used in the armpits can significantly reduce sweating. This treatment takes a few minutes to administer and lasts up to 6 months.
Keen to see if you’re a candidate for hyperhidrosis treatment? One of our highly experienced nurses can tell you everything you need to know during a complimentary consultation.
